being the mopar guy i am, i have to say Dana 60. Moser is now producing their own Dana-based "Moser 60" rear ends. ive seen some tests on them. one word, two syllables. BADASS.

The aftermarket 12 bolt gives you more hp due to a more direct driveline angle. But the 9 inch is suppose to be the Krem dela krem of heavy duty.

yeah, the heavy duty properties of the 9" is because the lower placement of the pinion gear in the rear end housing. i guess with it sitting lower, it makes the rear end stronger, im not totally sure how. the downside to the strength is that the lower pinion gear also creates a lot of friction in the rear end, which makes a lot of heat and also eats up hp. for your power production, id say youd be fine going with an aftermarket 12 bolt.

I know this post is old, but id have to say go with a Moser 12bolt with all the goodies, Mine cost'ed me around 3,000 for a custom build 12bolt w/3.73 gears, TA girdle,33 spline.. etc, but i had to get a new driveshaft cause of the yoke, but for everything and install around 3K. Ive seen the moser 12bolt withstand 1500rwhp on a 00 LS1 Trans Am that ran 7's so it should be strong enough for anything you can throw at it.

Any of them are strong of the 3, 9" is easy to swap about a hour and easy to setup on a workbench.

But a 10 bolt should be plenty, i know some1 who is running 9's with one!
