i cant remember the kids name, but i have seen it a lot. he rolled into b-bops one night and everyone was lookin at his car. it had 2 big nitrous bottles in back. he kept purging the nitrous over and over, which i thought was a total waste of nitrous, then someone told me he just fills it with air. mega lame, seriously.

he paid $27,000 for that thing? you have got to be kidding me, its well....I better just keep my mouth shut before I put my foot into it. I bet that nitrous is still not hooked up to the engine, just to the purge system and like someone else said, its probably not even nitrous. Ok, I am done.

why go go through all the trouble to be fast when you can just look "fast"? hehehehe, i dont know if id drive that thing around even if someone paid me to do it.

he didnt pay 27K for it...his mom did. He goes to xavier, or at least went. He has 2 eclipses and so does his brother.

Yah Keith is the name. He's a fairly decently nice guy.

He's getting rid of the car on ebay, but his reserve price is really high I think.

His parents bought the car for him at Hot IMport nights one year and from what I understand the car has always had all those mods.

The nitrous is a purge, never changed.

It's NOT an automatic. THis car has so many rumors following it that are untrue. It was made to be a replica of the eclipse in fast and furious. If you look inside it....almost everything is to proportion with the movie.

The other rumor is that the car is slow....well I can't remember if it's turboed or not, but I know it's faster than my car. heheh.

but really....keith is a nice guy. I think he's getting rid of the car because he can't take it anywhere anymore without people fucking with him or laughing at him.

It's not turbo'd Zac and it's a slow POS. Even with my tranny going out in my car right now I could still take him without a problem and sad part is I only have 1st, 2nd, and 3rd all of which if I give anymore then 1/4 throttle I'm just slipping the clutches in it.

And That is a fact!

I could have sworn that car WAS an automatic. i had seen it once when i had went over to his house....guess im wrong. but its a pretty stupid car....

He may be a very nice guy, but if you drive a car, any car that looks like his Eclipse does you are going to get LOTS of shit. I can see why he is selling it, I will assume at the time he purchased it he was in a dream created by the directors of Fast and Furrious. Now he realizes how much he overpaid for that fantasy.............

ninesec. has a very good point. thats prolly 100% true. I have never met the kid, but a lot of my friends know him.

DustinsDuster
08-07-2004, 11:29 AM
id feel pretty bad for the kid. although, youd have to expect that youd get shit for driving that car anywhere before youd buy it. thats why i like black cars. i could build an all black 68' Charger, but i bet almost no one would give me crap for building Blade's or Bullitt's car. that car just ended up with a bad rep from the start.

That car bluebooks for under 10k. I dont see how parents could be so irresponsible to let their kid spend 27k on it. I think ninesecsnake made a point that struck gold. Most riceboy highschoolers didnt have enough money to get things done before they woke up from their FnF fantasy, so they had less money wasted. Its a damn shame his parents fed him the money to buy that car while he was high on rice and full of ideas without any real life experience to back it up. Damn near every import owner myself included went through a rice-phase. Those of us who were lucky got out of it before we blew tons of money on it.

DustinsDuster
08-08-2004, 10:12 AM
man im glad i never got into imports. never went through the ricer stage. building your own car limits your budget so much, it makes it harder to do stupid stuff, you have to think about what youre buying a lot more than if everythings just given to you.

that car gives eclipses a bad name, it sucks because people rice out their eclipses and it give other people with eclipses, ie: ME, a bad name, ive had some people tell me that i should put vinyl graphics on my car or get altezzaz or neon lights, that pisses me off, i just walk away and try and pretend i didnt hear tham say that

i suppose i wouldnt mind having a Supra, but it just seems they are so expensive, it sucks. if i were to own an import, itd probably be a Supra. Supras are weird though, dont make the torque off the line, which is what i like. ive said it before i know, but its so weird to see a car run mid 9's and not pull the front wheels because the turbo hasnt spooled up quite yet, but man, when they sppol up, those cars are gone. they just blur and go.

If you want more reason to hate FnF Ill give it to ya dustin...Supras sold for around 13-18k dollars depending on the year and trim pre FnF. Now you cant find one for under 20k unless the person lived in a whole the last 10 years. (which does happen albeit rare)

That's kinda sh*tty that they went and did that all because of one movie.

JJ240
08-09-2004, 11:19 AM
Well its not exactly sellers faults...Its just that the demand went up exponentially thanks to people without much car sense and ample $$ fundage jumping into a growing car scene.

JJ240

Of course dont get me wrong...If I bought a supra for 12k dollars before that movie and John Doe the computer programmer offered me 35k for it because he thinks within a week of buying it hes gonna be brian spilner taking vin diesels little sister to the back of the speed shop at night for a quick romp Id sell it too.

this is why i love GM's F-bodys. on ebay, i once found a 2000 Pontiac T/A, LS1, 6 speed. it was black, t-tops, had like 40,000 miles. had a buy it now option of $16,500, still had a factory warrenty. put a put an intercooler and turbo on that, and be scared about the results.

It was probably a scam...ebay scam artists try that shit with rare cars all the time....do a search on ebay motors for Supra and put most expensive first...look for the one at 50k dollars with no bids saying something about not getting scammed. Its a guy who just pays to keep his bunk auction up with tips about how to not get scammed buying a car on ebay. Its a good read if you ever purchase any parts from auction sites.

~ChrisYea the Paul Walker mobile just purge's it out to the fenders. I mean the car is nice and all but it's just to much. Maybe if it was fast but its not. Its almost as bad as the Cavy at b-bops last thursday with the back bumper that sticks out like a Foot. Man you couls eat off it. The sad part about the Cav was that it had 5 point harness with a stock 2.2L. Jeeze I shoud put a roll cage in my Grand Am. Man those 4 bangs run like 5 secs. flat in 1/4 mile. (Sarcasism)

You know... it was 2 years ago on Oct 25th that Steve died. It's weird because ever since I moved into my condo I started missing him ALWAYS being online to BS with about this and that. It's strange how different situations can make you miss stuff more.

I remember this whole topic...it was funnny. I believe it was about that neon green F & F eclipse. It was good shit. :)

I'm sure Steve can see this. How could heaven ever be "heaven" if you can't check out CR:U?

I cant believe its been 4 years! The last 4 years ive spent cramming my brain with as much knowledge as I can,its totally screwed up my life, but will hopefully soon be done.

Yeah. Lots of Steve's posts were lost because we accumulated so many posts on this site (I believe over 200,000 at one time) that the database couldn't handle it anymore and I had to prune it down. This topic was lucky because every once in a blue moon someone would post in it and bring it back to the front.

I just checked, his SN is still in my buddy list. Don't think I ever could have brought myself to take it off.

Still missing him like crazy. Hard to believe it's been 4 years. Still got his necklace hanging on my bedbost. Won't ever forget him.
