Hey guys as an auto enthusiast in Iowa I figured this was good place to join up. My name is Danny, I live in Sioux city. I daily drive my 1974 260z(she's my baby) and if you live here you've probably seen and heard my Z. I also own a 1953 Studebaker C coupe(beautiful car) but she's a bit of a basket case and the garage I have her stored in is so damn small there no where to work on it, so she waits until I have my own garage. I just picked up a 1992 Oldsmobile 88 cause I can't subject the Z to a harsh Iowa winter. Not exactly what I was looking for but she was only 350, after repairs I have 388 into it and she's a nice looking solid runner with a good interior. So if nothing else I'll drive through the winter and turn over for profit in the spring. While I've been meaning to join for awhile I decided today was the day cause I'm in need of some Iowa specific legal advice. But I'll start a separate thread for that. I'll follow up with some pics of my rides in a comment.

nice 260z. i was looking at those to do a v8 swap but they were kinda pricey for a clean one so I went with an rx7. you running the stock motor?

Thanks! And its not stock but its not exactly a true swap. I blew the original motor last year and swapped it for a 1976 L28 /N42 out of another Z. Which is bigger displacement, and better head but exterior wise it looks the same. Its backed by a close ratio 5 speed out of an 82 ZX, and I currently run SUs of a 72. Nice setup but the plan is to eventually turbo this motor or swap an entire turbo motor in, hopefully next summer. I've also considered an RB or JZ swap down the line , but I'm not sure. It'd have to be leftovers from anothers failed project cause that's the only way to get a good deal, but they do come up. Clean S30s are hard to find around, I don't think there were any dealerships here.
