So I've always believed theirs no kill, like overkill. What Im wondering is though, can I actually go to large with a trans cooler? Purchasing one with a check valve for winter driving anyway, but worry it may open and close a lot if I go to large, and may cause too much temp fluctuation.

Am I obsessing over unimportant details again, or is this a legitimate concern.

Thoughts?

I have that cooler on my truck, I added a trans temp gauge when I first got the truck and don't see much fluctuation if any. Heated up quickly in the winter as well.

just cover the cooler in the winter.

Well, went ahead and ordered it with the thermal bypass so I shouldnt have to cover it in the winter anyway. I'd like to have a before and after of trans temps before it arrives. I think EFI Live can monitor trans temps, at least Ive heard it can, so I wouldnt have to mount a gauge in the truck.

EFIlive or the Torque app for android can do it if you happen to have that lol
