Do you just have them through your regular insurance, agreed value, classic car, etc?

Feeling out my options.

I have my 88 rx7 insured through Farm Bureau . They preferred an appraisal after the insured value got above 10k. I was quoted $300 from Duffy's locally for a formal appraisal. I didn't want to pay $300 for that. But Farm Bureau said they weren't too picky and since I am in the automotive business I can have my own company write the appraisal. Made one up with pictures and parts values listed etc and insurance company approved it.

Because of the age and mileage driven, they put me on Classic car insurance covering $20k for $22 a month . I was happy with that.

I'm through Progressive on all my stuff. State farm dropped me in March after some tickets I picked up last August being irresponsible on a motorcycle at well over double the speed limit...

Anywho now I'm on SR22 and through progressive I pay $262 every 6 months which includes both my talon and my civic. Then I pay $140 a year which includes both my sv650s and my klx400sr bikes. They're actually way cheaper with me on SR22 than State Farm was before I was on SR22 and I had a clean record. Super happy with progressive.

That is super cheap! can you only drive it so many miles a year then?

I'm not sure if there is a mileage limit. I went onto classic about a year ago. they did ask for an odometer reading. We'll see if they request another odometer reading. I also have a pretty low deductible, if i recall ... its $250 or $500 at the most.

Thats nuts. There has to be a mileage limit.

I have a friend that has "collector" insurance and is limited to 500 miles/ year.

I'll have to look into classic for the Z. I'd be at about the same value. Is that collision only, or comp too?

I do Farm Bureau for my house, vette, audi, bike and her truck. Audi and truck are $230-260 each every six months and the vette is less and under low mile deal (8k or less). I take the bike and vette off in the winter. I've got all the discounts, etc.

I know haggerty classic flat out said they don't insure people under a certain age. I don't remember exactly but somewhere in the 30s.

I go through Progressive and have full coverage on the impreza 2.5rs and the miata. Both have $500 deductible and pay every six months. It comes out to about $16 a month for the Subaru and about $14 a month for the Mazda. No tickets for over 5 years and never had a claim. Its stupid cheap I know.
