the more I think about it, the more I want one for a DD after I get out of college and get a big boy job, if that happens with this economy

1992 talon in 2000 was probably average selling price of $3000. 8 years old.

2004 evo in 2014 is still 14k or more, I rarely see them for less. thats going on 10 years old now.

To me its not that much better of a car to cost so much still. turning radius still sucks, still a 4g63, and still a cheap mitsu interior. Gonna spend 14k+ I couldnt get myself to buy one, and I thought hard about it (06 MR GSR 17k)

i paid 12.5k for mine which is a pretty good deal meanings that is a clean ssl, with receipts for a trans and clutch that only had 16 miles on them so im more than happy, an evo is way more of a car than a 92 talon no offense to anyone i love all my dsm/evo's but they are to completely different animals, and also prices of everything has gone up look at the price of gas and milk now and then, no hate at all just my opinion.

They are certainly different, dont get me wrong there. I was mostly making an example of how all costs have gone up, and its why I dont have an evo. As it would be my fun car, but for the cost, isn't feasible. So in summary, I was basically saying Thanks Obama.

..I still want one

How far did you have to go to find this one? I've been sorta looking for an evo 8 in the midwest for a while now and haven't found any clean examples for less than 15k, and most of the cars that I've found around that much aren't worth what they're asking.
