An e36 with a 5.0 or an LS is still on my want to do list for the future. Awesome build!

Looks sweet, but I don't get the iron block if the car will stay NA. I'm sure it's better from a price standpoint, but I don't think he has a problem spending money so....

thats exactly what i was thinking. great handling cars should like an fd should stay aluminum unless they plan on making 800+whp or are hurting for money

I'll ask. He said at the beginning its getting spray, not much else mentioned.

Their was a 14sec vid posted of it running, nothing of it really ripping around the streets yet.

Always wanted to do an E30 or E36 engine swap. Very cool, you know the I6 in these weighs about as much as a Cast iron LSx.

looks like the aluminum motors make them about 65lbs front heavy . iron block would add another 85lbs to the front

I believe the weight difference is almost 100-105lbs for the iron block. People go around and around on this, but I noticed that number by a trustworthy shop a little bit ago. I should have checked the ones to come through my hands, but never bother. Anyway under 800whp or so it's not a big deal. Lots of guys using the stock 5.7 aluminum blocks at 1000+, but the sleeve is at risk and the mains not as stable. I don't really care for all the "stance" lowering but it is a nice ride for sure.
