I've never done an autox but with a couple of these being so close to me I might have to, though I'm sure my pile wouldn't be anything nuts

Quick schedule update...

Apparently there's a conflict with a concert happening at Hawkeye Downs on June 21st, so we will be flip-flopping the locations for June 22nd with May 18th.

May 18th will now be Hawkeye Downs, and June 22nd will now be Oskaloosa.

The schedule is now...

April 13th - Hawkeye Tech - Waterloo
May 18th - Hawkeye Downs - Cedar Rapids
June 1st - (DMVR Iowa Challenge #1) - Oskaloosa Airport - Oskaloosa
June 8th - (Iowa Challenge #2) - Hawkeye Tech - Waterloo
June 22nd - Oskaloosa Airport - Oskaloosa
July 13th - Hawkeye Downs - Cedar Rapids
July 27th - Oskaloosa Airport - Oskaloosa
August 17th - Oskaloosa Airport - Oskaloosa
September 14th - Marshalltown Go Kart Track - Marshalltown
October 12th - Hawkeye Tech - Waterloo

I almost want to try this but I don't think the CSRT4 would be worth a shit.

I'd like to if I can find some time. I've been looking at mods for the car so only time will tell what I will have done by then. Need to get a new ECU and downpipe to really wake up this thing.

No need for any major mods either. In fact, for Stock/Street class it's EXTREMELY limited what you can change.

I've seen people show up in anything from Buick LeSabres to Geo Metros to Ferraris to homebuilt creations, so don't worry about what you have. It's all about getting out there and having fun. If you decide to go and need any guidance through your first event, just let me know, you'd be driving right past my place on your way from Tripoli to Waterloo :)

Might actually have to take you up on that this year. I would like to start doing more auto related events this year so this is definitely on my list.

Neet to see they still list some of the old races. I found myself and a lot of friends on the lists back in 04-05' :)

FYI guys, the DMVR will be holding 4 PDX events at Iowa speedway which isn't quite as bad of a drive for the IC/CR guys. The June and September events are held in conjunction with the club races so you'd get to run on the track and watch some racing.

Here's the link for the dates and some more info about the events:

It was rough trying to get it to hook up haha. I definitely want to get to a bigger track this year, I think the car will do pretty well if I have a little more room. MAM would be nice and that back straight would be a good time

This would be pretty awesome.

Autocross May 4th at the Iowa speed way in Newton. I will be there if the rain holds off. Going to see what I can do with a stock miata with sticky tires will do.
