Hello everybody,
Im new to this forum and would like to share my ride/project. I am in Cedar Rapids/Marion area.
I drive a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo with 171k miles on it. It is an Inline 6 but with a twist, it has a fully built 4.6L Stroker engine.
This is the list of all the mods that i have done so far:
4.6 L Stroker:
4.2L Crankshaft
Hypereutectic pistons
3.895 stroke rods
.040 overbore
265 Duration camshaft
Ported intake and exhaust
LS1 valves
Bored out valve guides and seats
high flow oil pump
(there might be other things that i have forgotten)
engine has 6k miles on it and was built by Performance Concepts ( place i work at)
Jeep has a 2 inch Teraflex Budget Boost lift (spring spacers)
Skyjacker nitro shocks
Spidertrax wheel spacers/adapters from 4.5x5 to 5x5 bolt pattern
17" Moab Rubicon wheels
BFG Mud Terain tires 255/75R17 (32' tires)
Rear Dana 35 3.55 gear (stock and will be rebuilt and regeared to 4.10 soon)
Front Dana 30 4.10 gear Eaton Limited slip diff and everything else brand new with only 100 miles on it.
42RE 4 speed auto transmission
NP242 Transfercase
HID headlights
Custom built front bumper (currently not on)
Pioneer dash radio (not anything fancy)
Better sound Door speakers (not stock)
Kevins Offroad Radiator support with front D rings
There are many more things top come!

Never hear to much about the inline 6 getting rebuilt like that. Get some pics of it off road, wherever that can be done around here...

Plenty of places in Iowa to wheel if you're a member of an offroading group!

Not too many pictures that I have of off roading. Since there isn't really many spots to try the Jeep on. But the two pictures are from a big mud hole down by roller dam. (That's what pretty much provoked engine build, because I spun rod bearings!) It handles pretty nice offroad but would be nice if I had LSD. (Which I will this summer) the other picture of it climbing a snow pile is just a bit of mall crawling (I know what a shame) :D

mall climb is sweet. I've been down to the roller damn a few times, and spent more than a few days out on the backside of greencastle. My whip wasnt super capable..but it never did let me down.
