5.3 4L60E Swap Question

I have a 1949 Chevy 3100, I was wondering if I could get a 5.3 and a 4L60E, Harness, and computer, set it in the truck and fire it up? Would the security stuff let me do that? do i have to run the gauge cluster out of the truck I pulled the motor out of?? I have an inline fuel pump I was going to put on a toggle.. what would the catches be? or would it be as easy as settin her in and going?>

I believe you need someone to shut off the security in the ecu. Some guys on here who swapped have done it, Im sure they'll chime in on what exactly they did. Otherwise I believe it is just that easy.
