I've setup an account with Comp and have to do a large initial order ASAP. If anyone here needs a turbo, let me know and I will give you a good deal.

yea, thats what interests me the most with their lineup. a 7879, 8079 and 8879 billet that weighs only 20 pounds, t4. I'd like to see how well it does against the big bw s480.

Turbonetics is suppose to have a spring release of a new 31 pound t4 midframe, a bit larger then their t-series but smaller then the BW's, it will have a 4" comp inlet, 3" out. 4" turbine vband out


We will initially be releasing a billet 83mm high pressure ration compressor wheel with the 82mm turbine wheel. When we had Duttweiler test the unit, it literally crushed the s480 billet in every way possible

The oil-less turbos still need a water source gonig to them. For the money, I am not sure if there is going to be a giant benifit. However i did see it as a pretty cool feature. Ryan, are the journal bearing turbos as light as the BB turbos? I know the BB's were light but i was unsure about the journal bearing ones. I woudl assume they were as well.

I have been reading up on these on tech. There are a couple horror stories out there -like any other brand - but most that i read are people that are pleased with the performance. I am also reading that there customer service is pretty excellent as well. I know Chris Johnson is running a set of Comp Turbos on his Fox as well and likes how they get down to buisness.

journal bearing should be nearly identical in weight. half the weight comes from the turbine housing all by itself.

What do they use for the exhaust housing some sort of cast stainless?

I believe the weight is saved by an all aluminum center section

ohh that aluminum center is interesting. I didn't see it at first. Probably a few pounds savings there. I'm not sure but Comp just said the ct43's were about 20 pounds. Add a couple pounds for the divided turbine
