Hey all, Im Nate, relatively new here, learned about this board by participating in the forum shootout at Cedar Falls Raceway.

Anyway, figured Id post up some pictures of projects going on this winter at the small fabrication shop I run in the Minneapolis area.

Just finishing up this single turbo on a 498 cube Pontiac in a 67 Firebird. I just did the stainless headers and hotside, owner is finishing air to water and the rest. Looking for an easy mid 8 street car. Its a PT8891, th400, E85 blowthrough, four linked and tubbed. Pretty quick on the street.

My personal 71 Nova, single 88 5.3. Getting an AMS-500 boost controller and some Mickey 275 Pro's. Hoping for mid 8's and still autox it!

06 GTO that I work on. Currently a twin 6765 ERL block 427 full weight street car. Its getting a major diet. Standalone engine management, gutting the dash, race seats, and hopefully taking it to the next level with much bigger turbos!! Ultimate goal is 1500whp.

Working on a 97 Camaro with an LT1. Just finished up the headers. Its getting twin 62's, 4L80E, 9 inch. Should be a pretty quick ride.

Helping a buddy with this 98 Camaro. Its sort of a sleeper. I built a front mount turbo kit for it that uses a PT8847 mount down low with a factory position radiator. Doesnt look like much from the top side. Preliminary dyno tests got 811whp on 15psi. 6.0 with a 4.8 crank destoker. Man it sounds awesome at 8000rpm and 20psi!! Faceplated T56 manual trans. Hoping to help him put it on a diet also and run 8's with a manual trans turbo LS.

If you cant tell by now, Im a little bit of a turbo fan....working on this one with a group of 10 guys using a bunch of parts we had laying around or pitched in and purchased. Its an 80's Cutlass with a 5.3, ported heads, big 242/252 cam, th400 with a nitrous bbc converter, and a pair of On3 76's. Should be interesting. Initial goal was stock bottom end record but seeing that is getting a little bit crazy, we're just going for fun!! Its quite a bit farther now, but the only pic I could dig up.

nice builds

the ultimate IMO would be the gto's light and torquey erl 7.0 motor and fast spooling modest sized twin turbo setup but installed in the nova. has enough power to overcome the extra weight of the plush seats, power steering, full interior, etc. would be an awesome street car

isn't revving to 8k more of a valvetrain and hydraulic lifter issue then the lower rotating assembly?

If I only had the cash...3k 5.3 vs 15k 7.0

Its a combination of all. Short stroke = easy revs. It has hydraulic lifters. He's converting to dry sump soon too.
