Rallycross 10-13-13

There was a Rallycross held at the Indianola Balloon Field this past weekend. I went with my 2000 Impreza 2.5RS and ran it against 30 other cars. It was set up like a auto cross with cones marking the track. Every lap was added together for a total time and your rank what based off of that. This is only the 3rd one they have ever held and it is starting to get more interest. I think they are trying to have one in November at the same place.

I have some GoPro videos that I will trim down today and post up. I ended up placing 1st in the stock class with second place about 17 seconds behind me. I took 4th over all out of all the cars running that day. Hoping to raise interest in these event and get more events like this set up.

yeah rain, ice, snow. All conditions except a blizzard because of visibility and safety. I ran with my snow tires on and they worked so well on the dirt I was shocked. I had more grip in dirt then I normally do with my shitty all season tires on dry pavement. GoPro videos are on my computer but I need to crop them down and might do some editing. I ran 6 times and moved the camera each time. The huge wind on my car worked as a nice shelf to mount the GoPro for a through the car shot and for a out the back shot.

Right now I think they are planning on doing it November 10th at the same place. I will keep you posted Clint.

Man I'd love to take the honda to this. It needs a few things before then though. Very cool event

yeah. My girlfriend rode with me every time. They just need to sign a release waiver and they are good to go.
