anyone running one or know someone? opinions? couple years back i was considering it, people were saying don't do it.

did a little reading on YB the other day and seems like some say they hold up, 11 gauge near the turbo

If your dumping right off the turbo, probably be OK. Looking for less weight?, Titanium much better choice for the long run.

i always run about 6 inches of stainless first right off turbo then the rest 10 gauge 6061 aluminum. ive done whole downpipes out of aluminum after about a season they really start to lose shape about 6 inches after turbo hence the little bit of stainless. jus my opinion.lorenzo

I had the good fortune of being at MIR this past weekend for WCF, and noticed many aluminum downpipes. Most on pure track cars, some on street cars. It really took me by surprise. I personally have SS after the turbo, then went to aluminum for the remainder of the exhaust. If I did not drive the car quite a bit on the street, I would look to go the aluminum route with a shorter pipe, but going with some 304 after the turbo just seems better for longevity.

I'd agree with both here ^

Short section of stainless then the rest can be aluminum. If weight is a concern run a little thinner wall 321 stainless section.

I'm running aluminum yd off at the 5inch outlet of the turbo and goes out both fenders. 6061t6 .125 wall 8inches off the turbo then the rest is 14or 16 gauge
