bought this a couple months ago. harbor frieght has a few low profile jacks but then they have this really long and very low one. i like it a lot. my old jack was too tall to fit under the front of my rx7. new one is no problem. the subaru jack point is also very deep under the car so the new jack is nice on that too . $139

you got me there... you can be sure i always have a jack stand under there with it!

nowadays craftsman and stuff you would buy at lowes or theisens etc probably all come from china. i'm afraid to price out a snap on equivalent to the above one

That is very true, all the above are truly junk products, ex snap on of course since they are largely made in the USA.

A good quality aluminum jack even if it 3-5x the cost of that is worth it, 10-15 years down the road after a few times of lifting that steel jack into a truck/trunk you will thank yourself. At least put the Blue Point jack on your X-mas list

Thats one thing I have wanted for a long time. I still have the crappy $30 dollar jack/jackstand combo jack that I bought when I was 16. I think I have 4 pairs of jack stands but have always had this crappy jack.

I have to drive the srt up on blocks of wood just to get the jack under it, even then it is a tight fit.

Did you use the 25% off coupon and get a free flashlight/screwdriver set/handjob

LOL They do have a lot of coupon deals. A few friends have the aluminum ones, now I want one. Plus Im also still using my cheap little jack that was fine for the DSM's but is barely enough to get a truck off the ground.

I think HF is the same quality as most craftsmen stuff, aside from maybe wrenches.

If he's not wanting to sell his/keeping as a back up, I've got an extra 1 I could sell. It would be close in size/style, different color.
