I need to hook up a trans cooler on my SS, and cannot figure out what size fittings I need to attach to the transmission. Its a 4l70, I guess it uses the same fittings as the 60 and 80 but no ones mentioned what size that is. Im not about to spend $250 on a trans cooler kit thats maybe $70 in parts. Brent gave me his extra trans cooler, I'll buy line from Ryan, and likely he has the fittings I need too. I think I read somewhere they are pipe thread.

4l70 transmission cooler fittings size...?

Heres the line with fittings, this kit is $75

I ordered fittings from here...http://www.purechoicemotorsports.com/index.cfm/page/ptype=results/Category_ID=135/home_id=101/mode=cat/cat135.htm.

You can use -6 to 1/4" NPT fitting into the case as long as you don't go nuts tightening them, or use the adapters that are listed in the link I provided and keep the factory "clip" fittings.

OR

Here is an example of the correct fittings to go into the case if you want to go that route. These are -6 to 1/4" NPSM... http://www.ebay.com/itm/6-AN-Transmission-Fittings-GM-T350-400-700R-4L60E/380328097352?rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222002%26algo%3DSIC.FIT%26ao%3D1%2 6asc%3D163%26meid%3D1562444049470829108%26pid%3D10 0005%26prg%3D1088%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D4%26sd%3D270452 549292%26

I'll go with the correct ones, now just have to see if Ryan can get them. Id really like to run the cooler before I go to the track next weekend!
