For anyone interested, the SCCA is holding a track day at the Iowa Speedway next month. I know some of you were wanting to do a track day and this one is close.

For details, go here: http://www.dmvrscca.com/index.php/pdx

Here is my video from the race in May. It's a really fun track that doesn't beat up on tires or brakes.

Was that Tom in front of you the first lap? What a dick.

I'll most likely be going btw.

Nah. Another local old time racer. He's good at making his car 30ft wide. No harm no foul, just racing. I could've passed sooner if I really wanted to push the issue. Didn't really want to damage the car that soon into the season.

I'll be either taking the miata or the rx7 out. Also, I'll be instructing too so I can help out those who need it.

You race spec-miata?

Could you post or message me somewhere with good reliable information pertaining to it? I've been interested for several years but have had a hard time finding the information Im looking for one one place easily accessible. Basically I am lazy and rather busy.

Just got to mazdaracers.com and read through some of the blogs and downloadables. If you really get serious about starting a build then buy this book...

For the track day, how are they letting cars out and how many usually show up? Is it like MAM where it's an open session for a while, or do they let 1 car on the track at a time? I'm just curious what kind of seat time one could expect. The Mustang Club is holding an event there Sep 28th and it's a little bit cheaper to enter what the differences are going to be between the SCCA event and the MCCI event.

From the email I received this weekend, there will be two groups getting five 20 minute sessions each. Looks like we are at 26 entries currently.

Here is the link for registration. You can view the entry list in the upper right corner.
