05 Built Skittle

Hey all, had my NSRT since I was 17. Bought it 100% stock. After 2 years I decided it was to slow so under the knife it went. Goal was to do whatever it takes for a 10 sec 1/4 pass. Started the build last winter and it ran that summer 2012 but never got a full tune due to faulty tuners. Car will be running E-85

Mod List:
Eagle rods
Arias 8.75:1 pistons
Strapped block
Windage tray
High flow oil pump
Deleted oil cooler for larger filter
Port and polished head
Ti springs and retainers
Crane 18 camshafts

1200cc injectors.
-8an feed, -6 return lines
-8an fuel rail
Dual bosch 044 pumps

Precision 6262 ported
Custom tubular manifold
Turbosmart 50mm vband wastegate

Car originally had a log manifold which cracked so went onto a custom tubular

on to the pictures, in semi order lol

Roughly 600 when all said and 100% finished. Cody it run just gotta have some exhaust welded. Should be there the 2nd. Hope to take it out today or tomorrow. Videos to come

The fastest fwd car last year was an integra and going by my foggy memory I want to say it was in the low 11s.

tuning has began on E85. Car was cutting out in boost, though the coil was bad. Nothing. Checked fuel pressure and only getting 30psi idling. Gonna raise ti tomorrow and retry

Yeah it's all set now. Switched it up to a 1:1 rising rate as well. Lame part is we had to start my tune all over

hard to tell in the vid what you hit as far as psi, looked like 20?

redline around 6k? is that normal?

The 2.4s arnt known for reving very high, taking it over 7K is very risky, especially when the balance shafts are removed. It a pretty "tourqey" motor in the low and mid range.
i still take mine to 7k though :)

Blah, rev that biotch.

2.0's can be reved much higher when built. However on average a 2.4 will make 5-10% more power per mod over a 2.0.
I take mine to 7, big turbo and big cams help.

The factory srt rev limit is 6200, but it falls on its face around 5900.

Just need to get a 2.6 stroker.
Or better yet, destroke to a 2.2 and rev it to the moon.

It will be revved out to 7,500 once we start dialing it in more. My cams really come on hard around 4500.

Yes cody. Its at 20. With rich afr still, so theres still power on the table as it sits. This E85 makes such a HUGE difference

Afrs are high 10s still. Gotta lean it out quite a bit still. Timing will be whatever my tuner set it at. Full boost comes on around 4200 at 20-22 lbs
