Hi yall. Been around DSM for awhile, moved away, and now im back (as of 08).When I lived in Nor cal, the street scene was pretty large and organized, I miss that. I have been looking to get back into the scene but im pretty shy and quiet.
Hoping to meet a few more people and have some fun on Sat nights. Ive seen many of the Local Des Monies guys, but havent really met them.
At any rate, hope to see yall at the track or out and about.
I rock a slightly modded Dodge Avenger.

Welcome! I think the street scene has gotten a little better in DSM over the past few months but I've only been down there a handful of times this year....

Thanks! I agree, it seems to have been jump started this year.

More info on your mods? I have to say the exterior doesn't really do it for me, but from what I can see the engine bay is done nicely. Definitely a difference choice. Welcome

I used to live in cedar falls, I remember meeting a guy doing an avenger, awd, turbo, carbonfiber panels everywhere. Never did see it though, just what he told me.

that would be Jason lee, he successfully did it, but at some expense.. 10K+ iirc.. it didnt run for long though.
yea i get that alot, But like you said, its different, which is why I chose to built on the platform. Thanks for appreciating the work thats gone into it though..that kinda thing is what im looking for in the scene.. Im not a big Honda fan, but I can appreciate a good build..
Over view of Mods:
Swapped to 2.4 Bottom (built 9:1cr- comparable to an SRT4, Except they have 8.0:1 CR).
Built head (cams , +1mm OS valves etc.)
Full standalone on MS , 1000cc Injectors running sequentially ( no longer batch fire) etc
PTE DBB billet 5857 w/PTE 46mm wg
Quaife LSD, DSS stg 5 axles (worst DSS product ever)
Brembo Stoppers
ARP all over.
Lots more but im lazy lol.

whazup sleepy. Yes, but im working on an oil leak i should have fixed along time ago. I replaced some lines, and made the issue worse.. so im knee deep trying to get these AN fittings to seal.
Im working on getting custom inner CVs made (they will work for the Neon too). the plan is to mate the custom Inner CV to a DSS stg 3 or higher. that way the actuall upgraded part of the axle is kept, and the stock crap is upgraded. It will be stronger than what DSS offers for the nvt350.

So you are telling me I am going to have to keep my eye out for some used stage three's.
Btw did Ed use rtv when mating your trans to the bellhousing? I am going to assume it wont have any issues, however everything I have read said thats a big no no.

Yup look out for some 3s :).
He uses a clear anaerobic sealant. Same stuff used on our bedplates.

Damn I should have requested it. He used grey rtv on mine. Hopefully I will only need to run this one for the rest of the summer then get a lsd to go in the 3.55 for next year.
I have to swap the fresh trans in and I am redoing my engine harness to run ms as a stand alone(sucks). Once I am done with that I plan on turning it up more and seeing what I can do with it.
