I dont really have the space for extra vehicles right now. I'd like to, but not an option at the moment. Best offer gets it, not exactly sure what its worth but I probably have $1500 into it.
So up for sale is my Mountaineer, specs:
2000, V8 5.0 AWD
Leather interior, Mach audio system with components and factory sub, steering wheel audio controls, power windows & locks, 60/40 split folding rear seats ( I can fit a 6' long table with them down), climate control, fancy compass and outside temp gauge.
Cold a/c, good heat.
Replaced the following in the last year:
Spark plugs
Spark plug wires (PITA!)
Camshaft position sensor (pricey)
Alternator (not reman)
Serp belt
idler pulley
Air filter
Tires
Front brake pads and rotors
Hitch (like a month ago, it had never been used to tow before) for bike rack
Hitch Wiring
Safari rack
The bad:
209,*** miles on it. It has to be a crate motor, no leaks, burns nothing.
Rust
Drivers door lock needs a replacement spring of some sort, it wont unlock from the outside
Exhaust manifold tick, its missing a stud
the dumby gauge oil pressure sender is going out as usual.
The truck has never failed me, took it on some off road trails the first summer I had it. Nothing to serious, but it never got stuck. Winter it was a beast, the AWD and new tires made it boring. It doesnt look like much, but its comfortable, and every time I turn the key it starts. I changed the oil by months not miles, as my drive to work should be measured in feet, not miles. Used Motorcraft oil and filters.
NADA $3,500. I'm asking $2,500 OBO on Craigslist. $2,300 OBO to IAF folk. Its parked outside my work everyday on Wiley.
