These ought to make going around MAM a little easier. David, you need to do something with yours.

Had to add some weight though.
old:38.8lbs
new 51lbs.

That should help a smidge.

Make sure you download a lap timer, I want to know what time the wife's car has to beat!

I say we bring both the wife's cars and have a battle royal.

Until I get new tires, I think you're safe. Well, when your's goes under it's own power again that is.

Those look like a small improvement. Make sure you get some good pads on there also. You decide if you are keeping the wheels?

Those are going to be killer. Some neon yellow krylon would set those off nicely with that fancy blue car of yours :lmao:

They are Powerstop Evolution ceramic pads. Supposed to be the same as a Hawk HPS. To be honest, I don't know anything about pads and this is what he recommended after telling him what I do with the car. As far as the wheels, I don't know what I want to do. Spacers suck, but custom wheels with the correct offset are expensive or not that attractive.

Weird the larger rotors are playing tricks with my eyes as it looks like the bolt pattern is bigger on the new rotor.

Didn't really want to start a new thread, but figured I'd share some photos of the new brakes installed and dipped wheels. Also got some new meats on them and took the stripes off. Curious on your guy's opinions on the stripes. I'm thinking I want to put them back on.

I've been there... 1354 I made the mistake of swapping out for a bigger booster at the same time! LOL First time I touched my brakes, I about went through the windshield. Only took me a few days to get used to it, between the brakes, the Spec 3+ and my 1st gear ratio, I have three very sensitive pedals in my car! HaHaHa

Dayum, what car did you swap those out on? The Pontiac?

I dig the stripes. The car looks really good either way, though.

Yeah, the Fiero... I like the stripes too, I think the car looks like a vette

Will the stripes match your sick new windshield banner?

Lol, I wouldn't know. You're the one with it. I have yet to see it.

It is a badass banner that would look great down the side of the car.

Probably going to hit up Newton instead. Was going to do the invite deal at Marshalltown, but I'm probably gonna pass. When's the "Boo Bash"? You know my birthday is Halloween?

Congrats on two of the best investments for having the most worry free fun on track days IMO. Nothing is worse than boiling brakes, or struggling between massive understeer and massive oversteer. Speed is easy but getting the car to stop and turn effectively isn't. Since they are massive corvette brakes, the HPS equivalents will probably do just fine. Normally they won't but with your weight reduction and the large rotors, the pads shouldn't overheat too easily.

Too bad your car is still slow around the track. Neat brakes though!
