Blah, I wanted to go, but yesterday was told I need to help move my brother in law to his new house. Next Sunday is my first anniversary, so I probably shouldn't be racing. I really want to race at Oskaloosa sometime, never been there before. Hopefully I can make the August event there.

Inlaws are only supposed to help YOU move, not the other way around. haha

The 9th is my first anniversary also. I was told that I better get my car fixed for this race since I haven't had it out at all this year.

Was just informed they don't need me for the move, but registration is closed. Anyone know if you can register in person? If not I may come watch for awhile.

You can register the day of. It just cost more and I'm guessing you are a weekend member so I think its 40 bucks.

The DMVR Scca is holding a event at osky airport sunday the 9th. The Mtown event Ben posted is more of a time trials that doesn't have cones.

Haha, their June, July, and August dates are all on the same day as the cars and coffee at Karl's. Does NQS do 1 or 2 timed laps? I should be able to make it this Saturday, but I think Sunday is still off limits. How many people show up to the NQS events? I've been to some days there where you are still racing at 6pm because there are so many cars.

NQS does two timed laps with a 3/4 lap warm up. It depends on the weather and what everyone has going on. Its usually over by 4-5 and you get 5-6 runs in usually. I think there is going to be a decent turnout sat so get there early and get a good parking spot.

If anyone from DM or Ankeny area wants to head up we are meeting at 650 at the ankeny wal mart. As far as being excluded from the wager I'm not sure why you guys are scared of a lil 4 door.

I need more practice before BIR, plus I want to see how the new alignment fares. Guess I will skip Cars and Coffee and meet you guys in Ankeny a little before 7 on Saturday.
What's this about a wager?

Awesome! I will see you guys in Marshalltown then.
A few buddies and I have a small wager on who will be the quickest overall on Saturday, but David (XBoosted23X) wants to sweep in and dominate, hahahah! His car is no joke on the autoX course and he can drive pretty damn well. It would be quite the unfair advantage unless he throws us a 5 second or so handicap :drive:

I say we meet at Karls and leave from there. Get a quick coffee and doughnut for the road. That's what I'm doing anyway.

Hmm, gates don't open until 8am anyway, that's a good idea. Meet there right at 7, head out shortly after?

I'll probably get there at 645. Just saw Ryan and he said he'll be there about 630

That should work as long as they have decent donuts. Gates are usually open all the time. I would just like a good parking spot. If it's alright I would like to take a ride in the Lotus.

Yea no problem, maybe you can give me driving tips so I can keep up with you :)

Ill try to get there halfway early as well. It would be nice to get everyone pretty close together, concrete would definitely be ideal.
Looking forward to seeing the Lotus, that thing has to handle like a monster!

There's 12 dozen ordered from HyVee. I've already done some top secret investigating work on the doughnut situation. I'm a fat kid. It's my thing.
