Bought a gopro hero 3 silver about a month ago. its not as solid of a product as i thought it would be.

-updated it 3 times already.
-the lcd screen add on is not very good with its touch screen. doesn't recognize your touch a lot of times. sometimes you have to press something 5 times. sometimes think you touched something to the left/right/up/down of where you actually touched
-wireless and lcd screen don't seem to work well if at all together.
-wireless smart phone app is decent but has a few bugs

I've recorded a few of my jiu jitsu 2 hour classes. This last class it stop recording after an hour and the sd card was corrupt and the gopro was locked up, had to pull out the battery.

Anyone else have issues ?

My hero2 has never had an issue. I would return it, as I have heard of a few being faulty.

no clue on the 3 but I love my hero2 gopro, put that camera on everything I can find and makes awesome video. Only downside I see is the sound and underwater picture is a little fuzzy

I've heard a lot of reports of the Hero3's being a bit of a let down in the reliability department. Every other version had been pretty problem free. I came really close to selling my hero2 for a new black hero3, glad I didn't with what I've been hearing. My hero2 has never had an issue and it has been through a lot!

now tonight my gopro won't turn on. just had it charging all day by usb. either it failed to charge or its locked up/broken.

ok, I just put a multi-meter on the battery, its low. didn't charge up for some reason.

My Hero 3 Black Edition has worked fine the few times I have used it.
