Duh, if you're swapping a Chevy motor in it should be an LT1.
Seriously though, I've never understood why people turn Corvettes into full on drag cars. Always seemed like a waste of a good all around sports car to me.

If you're going to swap an engine into a Mustang don't do an LSx. Be unique, choose something more interesting.

Imagine how well that mustang will handle with a cheap lightweight aluminum block :) It's hard to argue with the size, weight, power and factory electronics ease of tuning. :)
That poor poor vette. In reality it looks like it will be a monster. Sombody really wanted to poke a stick at the ls guys :) The layout of the engine bay really works well for a sweet, unrestricted header design with outlets in the quarters with the front drive charger. What is that procharger like a f2/f1x or something?

I'm not well versed in Procharger lingo, so not sure. Funny thing is the guy who is building it had an LS powered Mustang he raced before, now he's building this. I guess he figured out the LS just didn't have the power of the SBF.:)

Man, that would be a hell of a racket. Buy a 4 cyl notch that's clean for $1500, put another $1500 in a stock ls1 drivetrain, $1000-$2000 for misc stuff. Sell the car for $10k

Black Notch, SBC with a 6 speed? DO WANT. Probably the only Mustang I would own outside of Cobra/GT500 and I'd still rather have a Z06 at that price point.

Honest question. Do clean stock notchbacks go that cheap?
I've never looked because I haven't had the room for my car let alone another project but when I buy a house this spring I just might...

I paid $500 for my 4cyl notchback. Was white when I got it, ended up black. But it sure as hell didn't have a SBC in it when it was done. Dart block SBF with a YSi.

You have to look around, but yes I've found clean 4cylinder cars for that and under.

This is probably the ultimate notch, minus the color in my opinion. GT500 swap with a 2.8 Kenne Bell, even the floor pan. Liking the Ford emblem too.
