This is kinda nit picking but I'm getting some new rims and possibly new drag tires and debating on dropping down from a 27" tire to 26" for the gearing and I want my rear end lower.

Do you think its better to have the 1" more sidewall or the lower gearing of the 26" tire? I can make it through the traps fine with both tires.

Can you roll the fenders a little?

Fender lips are already rolled. My new rims should allow me to tuck the tires a lot better. However i would like to bring the rear down quite a bit... maybe 2 inches . i think the tall tires look a bit weird on my import.

That and 26" and 28" tires are the most common. 28" doesn't fit. Just MT et street bias happen to be available in 27's so that is what i run now. MT and hoosier don't have full slicks my size in 27". I think i found some 27's a while back from either m&h or goodyear or phoenix.

M&H used to make a 27x10 slick, probably still do. 4x4 mode in that picture?

I'd run as much tire as you can at the track. You can always have the street tires smaller and lower the rear.

I jsut went to a 15" wheel and some 27" tall tires myself. I decided to get it done for the sidewall to give me a little help coming off the line. I went from a 275 Nitto 555R to a 255 Et Street DR

+1 for sidewall. I'd use whatever tire hooks better though.
