I told my wife a while back to get swap mounts for the RX7 and showed her specifically where to get them so she ordered them. Also got a shop vac from the in laws and a pulldown ladder for the garage from my dad. Bought the wife a DSLR camera and a Kindle Fire HD 8.9, she has been taking photos non-stop since.

It was 950+ tax. I bought it in western ks at a smaller gun shop. All the prices there were very reasonable, even though they've gone up about $200 since the spring.

He posted something on Facebook about starting a waiting list for the ARs that he has on order so I emailed him and never heard back. I was just at Cedar Valley Outfitters in Marion and Ernie, the owner, was saying they have no clue when they will see one come in and he has a ton on back order. He did have a about 30-40 Magpul magazines though.

I'll probably end up waiting until spring time. Either they will ban them or the public will lose interest and maybe the prices will come back in line with where they were earlier this year. Not holding my breath though.

I could never imagine getting $10,000 as a gift.

We put a $50 cap on gifts for family members and if we cannot think of what to get them we give them a card with the cash in it. $50 may not seem like much but it adds up when you start adding in everyone.

I've heard of a friend of a friends grandma who gives out $25k to each of her 7 or so children and grandchildren get $5k checks for Christmas. old farm/land inherited money

i have mixed thoughts on people that get large amounts of money from parents. especially when those people are failures themselves but have nice things because of what was given to them. but then again, if my parents wanted to buy me a house, i can't say i would turn it down. unfortunately, I will never get that option but i know people that were given houses or their parents pay all their mortgage/bills.
