Been out of the scene for a while but trying to get back into it. Whether it was a new job, night school, or the buying a new Harley after the dog died I had lost interest for the past couple summers. Well after finally diagnosing my boost problem after years of it getting progressively worse, I got a fire under my ass to tinker again.

Anyways, I had been a regular member of the Des Moines crew and usually do a lot of SCCA stuff mainly involving road racing but sometimes an autox or two.

So here are the rides...
I don't have the Prelude or STi anymore though.

Hopefully I can make it out next year to some events so I can hear everyone tell me to "drop an LS motor in it".

Sweet FD - still weird actually seeing the rotary in there, I swear the stock rotary is becoming more uncommon than swaps anymore!

And nice bike - the only harley I like! Looks freaking sick!

Welcome Dave. Can't believe you left out the best story though.

welcome, nice car. i like rotarys a lot. they just scare me.

telling you to drop an ls motor into it is rude. I personally wait until the rotary blows up before i chime in....... but then again, you could sell it while its still running and get some money out of it :dunno:

Why? It's already faster than 90% of the cars on this site.

That's a good question Casey. Still well worth the story though!

Just wait Sparkles. I've got some good stuff in the works for the spring...nothing crazy like Rob though.

Thanks for the compliments guys. Don't need to worry about blowing it up though as i've already done that once while I was an newb to the rotary. Rebuilt it myself and the motor is just as strong as day one. The rotary gurus have pretty much figured out how to make a turbo rotary from blowing up. I won't be selling anytime soon; I've had it for 8 years now.

I meant you could sell the motor, not the car. but i was just joking.

that's cool that you successfully rebuilt yours. i've seen a couple local people rebuild some rotarys without success. they sounded like they knew what they were doing but they never ran right again. how much power is yours suppose to hold reliably?

Rebuilding was fairly easy as long as you are patient. It requires a lot of guess and check work which can get tedious. And not to spoil the spring surprise but I'm hoping to get close to 400hp. That will probably be the motors limit only because I didn't port it while it was apart. Maybe next winter I will pull the motor and rebuild again with some port work this time.

love the v-rods with a little less plastic going on(mainly the back fender).

I've got some plans for the rear of the vrod but nothing too crazy like removing the entire fender. I do like that look but I think the new rear fender has some potential if done right. Once I get the FD winter projects started, I'll start on the nightrod. Nothing too crazy yet, just exhaust and tune, then move the rear plate, move the rear turn signals, new grips and under bar mirrors, and then some other small touches. I want to start small and see how it looks. I would like to drop it a bit but not sure if I want to do springs or air ride. I had a blast going through the twisties in Colorado and was the only one that did not scrap my pegs so I am really cautious on doing anything that will affect the lean angle too much.

That first bike looks like the most un-comfortable thing to ride ever with those handle bars and forward controls. I like the exhaust tho

Yea those bars appear to be a reach. I really like the hugger fender in the second pic. Also I believe I company that works with Ryan sells turbo kits for these.

^ Eh, we have a white muscle that rides with us so I don't want to steal his thing, plus their seat is worse than what is on it already.
