Coming to a pickup truck soon. Man you can't fit that thing in many cars. It's just like our fan drive on tractors.

I wonder if they use an off the shelf snowmobile drive belt, lol.

I'm sure it's only like $20k too...

awesome, now supercharger guys can be on the "low boost" setting

curious how much belt slip they get on 1500+hp applications where the unit itself takes hundreds of HP to turn. be nice on small tire cars to control power without having a low timing dirty tune on it. now if they can build one to use with roots blowers we'd be in business

I think they said an additional 1700-2000 over a p1

Maybe because it will prove to be a piece of shit like numerous other "great" Procharger ideas....

I'd be interested in how long that CVT belt lasts. Considering it's a dry setup, the belt will need replacing.

I'm willing to bet that its going to be for lower HP applications and lower boost. Something like 5-15psi. Otherwise that belt would never last. It's a good idea in concept but I'd rather just build everything for a proper sized charger or turbo.

Seems to be heavily based on a snowmobile clutch, and those are pretty effective in high power applications...but I agree, probably not for the guy wanting to make big big numbers

Kind of an interesting application of the fan drive assembly. We make JD fan drives and they look fairly similar on a larger scale.

How's your ford doing? Haven't heard anything about it lately. Just on grocery duty?

It's still kicking, strictly grocery duty and kid hauling.

very cool idea. could be awsome in a daily driver application when you cant find good fuel.. would be nice if vortech did this so you could go without the cooler and still have the same inlet temps! I like both though just happen to have a vortech.

If it was me I would pulley the blower to run at its max or just over and use a wastegate on the discharge pipe to control boost with a boost controller. You will still need a blow off valve, and just like a turbo motor this makes a supercharger's boost cockpit adjustable.
