that is a sick car. some one put lots and lots of coin in to it. It still has the irs right?
bonesaw53
10-31-2012, 05:38 PM
correct, still IRS with FTBR bushing set and MM coils. I'll work on posting a current mod list later tonight.

The irs is a pain in the ass vrs the solid. Do you want to trade for a solid? I will have one soon. I would not go with to much gear with that car. It is a monster!
bonesaw53

Possibly. I'm still learning about this whole setup. I'm Just changing back to the 3.55 gears. has 3.23 in it now.

Hell I think all you would do is make it spin easier.
stangvortech
10-31-2012, 06:19 PM
It is a 99 gt rear end with Griggs coil overs, Griggs Racing Panhard Bar, Griggs Racing Severe Duty Torque Arm, frpp 3.73's. I would leave the 3.23's in it untill you get some good seat time in with it.

That car was my motivation to go e85 a couple years ago. Just an amazing car.
Nicely done! Would love a ride in it.

according to my estimate, those 1000cc injectors should be near their max (95% duty cycle) at around 775whp on e85 IF you are still running stock mustang fuel pressure 3 bar, 43.5psi. A lot of people say not to go much past 80% duty cycle on injectors but those bosch ev14 injectors are pretty good at high duty cycles.
at 4 bar/58psi, they would support upwards of 900whp @ 95% duty cycle

Does that mean them injectors would really be working hard?

That car has stupid money put into it! If you bought it already done you probably saved $20k. Have fun with it, I'd say the 3.27's are going to be perfect for the street with that much torque and power.

Gotta remember with a stick and tall gears like 3.27 it can actually be harder to launch then a 3.73 for example, because of the amount of slipping you have to do with the clutch. try it the way it is then swap and see what you think
AutoMods
11-03-2012, 04:35 PM
3.55 would probably be better but i'd also agree to leave it alone for now. the supercharger has a lot of low end. drop the tire size down if you want lower gearing.
3.73 might not give you enough gear IF your t56 ratios are similar to an fbody and IF you approach trap speeds nearing 150mph, 26" tire. play around with a gear calculator and don't forget a bias tire will grow 1" to 1.5" on the big end.
i use this one but its for gm t56 http://www.f-body.org/gears/

Correct. that video was of the car completely stock.. Prior with the old setup it ran a 11.1 @ 140 and 11.2 @141 with some boost issues. Checkal suprisingly it hooks extreamly well. It's powerband still suprises me by how smooth it is.

I'd figure you'd be there for a 1/3 of a second per stud with a impact just getting the rims to seat against the rotor. Guy by the name of pinokio probably ran those through production.
