Of what, drag radials? I'm sure it's much faster, but it's hard to compare some things also. Some cars are 2400lbs and others 3400, etc, etc. At these speeds big blocks are a little more at home with the full weight cars, etc. It's just neet that he is doing it on a goofy corvette style drivetrain. This car has got a RPM built zr1 diff and turbo 400.
This guy is going for the IRS record, and lsx drag radial record I think. He actually had the record a week or so before the viper took it back. The vette has been running since summer tweaking and getting the short times down, etc. I think it started out running mid 7's or so and with all the tweaks and better air this is where it's at for now.

It's a completely different setup up front now. Twin 88's 440ci, dart block, etc, etc. No budget setup by any means :)

Everybody asks why so rich, but he has said AFR is 11.3:1. They blame it on camshaft overlap. He also runs water injection on the exhaust valve to cool it. Can't argue with it holding together this year at this power level with no problems though.
I could have swarn I heard 5 shifts :)
