Same! Maybe phish can enlighten us on how much of a headache they actually are ;)

I enjoyed mine. When it was running.
Constantly worrying something is going bad or about to gets old. Quickly.
I'll probably still own an fd rx7 some day. And I'm just stubborn enough to keep it rotary.

Yeah I'll sooner trust a DSM to hold up against a ton of abuse than a rotary. That said though, I would love me a built fd - but only if I could afford to just send it to a shop whenever something went wrong haha.

If you dont try to get crazy power out of them they hold together decent actually. Its just when you start pushing them to the limits shit breaks every 3.6 seconds. Thats right... i timed it.

Only a headache if you don't know what you are doing with them and/or try to get by with cheap parts. Mine runs just fine 540/430 on e85.

I know plenty of people that did nto go the cheap way and still are having major issues. I was one of them. hence that dyno day you were at at black widow when my car decided to bite the big one. Nothing was done cheap as far as that car was concerned. However, i can agree that once you get it right, they work extremely well

If only there was a way to not make them sound like my weed eater.

I must be the only one who likes the way they sound! I really like the rotary engines honestly I wouldnt mind building a fast one with a clutchless manual sometime, tube frame old school mini cooper is what Im thinkin, sitting on 10.5's!!
