Well 48 Days and 80 Hours Labor I got it done. It was not easy, very tough and annoying to wrench on both the car and the CPE side mount turbo system. (no book or manuals) but Im a do it yourself guy and took on the challenge. Fixed allot of little issues and things that would have been issues down the road. Now my but diff and TR6060 are backed by a Fully built motor. And I still have the Stock long block chilling in the corner. Goal after clutch break in is 1000whp on pure 93 no meth or additives, then C16 later down the road. After start up, it had zero leaks and was ready for a good cleaning, Enjoy the pics.

How it started shipped from Canada ehh?

How in the world do you fit a air cleaner on that driver side turbo?

I can get a pipe on there its about a 70 Degree bend, I did have a Filter before but I think they are very restricive because they are only 3"x5" I cant fit anything bigger. So this Time around I just did what the Previous owner did and that was Screen them. I however re-did them with some nice aluminum screen thats got couplers over them to prevent sucking them in. Its not the idea thing but I dont drive it very far or on dirty areas. And if the old owner's hack job worked mine will.

big filters flow well because they have a lot of surface area. screens don't have much surface area, somehow if you made a 3x5 cone screen filter that would be ideal or would allow you to run a finer mesh and still flow well

Theres a few places around here with flow benchs that would be able to test your designs.. could weld together a stainless cage and tack weld some screen on it

Sweet, no more choking out the bike gang as we try to keep up!

K&N tested a cone filter to chicken wire. because of surface area the filter flowed better. I dont think its going to make a lot of difference on a turbo though.

It makes a HUGE difference on a turbo car. There are calculators online to see how big each filter needs to be, his would be pretty large for that much power.

Anyways, man that looks great! I hope you keep having fun with the car, it would be nice to see it in person.

I did alot of searching to try and find something better then my little k&N filters I ran last year. This is what I decided with. UNI foam filters, the open Cell foam will alow the best air flow and keep all dirt out, plus its open all the way around unlike my other filters that dont breath on the end. now if I can only get them to fit. Size is 3"x6"

dirt bike style. might want to make sure it comes with an inner cage to prevent collapse. I tried running a 4" silicone 90 degree open to the air last year in preparation for the track, I thought it wouldn't collapse because no filter and no restriction, but it did collapse. car fell on its face pretty bad when that happened.

It has a cage inside it, like the perrin foam ones. I just hope the foam stays together and does not come apart in chunks and gets sucked in. I think they will be ok for a year or so then will need replaced for that reason.

Why not just add an extension onto the inlet to a place you can run a large filter.

There is no room to run to another spot. The piping that came with the car I would have to run it though th wishbone suspension with no brackets of any kind and would have to cut up some stuff up front to make it work.

As regards to the not talking to you. I never said that. The whole reason behind it before was not your fault it was the drama infested life your now wife drug mine into. She wanted out without more drama. Its not that big of a deal. Your the one making it awkward I even tryed bringing you buisness like old times, But your still upset. Time moves on man.
