New to the area. Just looking for a place to let my dirt toys stretch their legs.

This thread on ADV rider has links to the Iowa DOT level-b road maps if you're into that sort of thing

City of Cambridge has a ohv park. Not sure on how the fees work there. Bluff Creek in Bussey is a state park and Marshalltown has some thing there also. Check Iowa OHV .com for area parks. Nothing in DSM to my knowledge

The DNR website has a list of state OHV parks, hours, fees, etc. Bussy is the best thing you're going to get around here.

Does the Iowa DOT allow you to ride atvs/dirt bikes on level B roads if you aren't a resident of the area adjacent to it? Technically level B's are still roadways, and atvs are offroad only....Just curious if you knew the answer....

Hmm, no idea. But you can guarantee a sheriff visit if you piss off a farmer near the level b road.

Well thats gay that you have to register your toys. I don't even have titles for either of mine...... Great, more sales and property tax to pay.

Anyone been down to the one near oskaloosa? I'll definitely be checking that out. I just rebuilt the engine on my dirt bike, so its ready to ride!

That would be Bussy. It's decent.

Go figure, that's Iowa for you. Most states don't require titles, but ours does. And if you don't have one, they actually expect you to find the last owner that did and get it from them. Dumb.

Back when I rode, I always liked waterloo's trails. They've got a lot of trails to wonder around in and a few well maintained "tracks".
