Weekly / bi-weekly gatherings?

New to the area, would like to get out and meet some people.

Do you guys ever do any like weekly meets? Dinner, coffee, sex, anything?

I see a few cool cars around town from time to time, but I have no idea where people get together. Are most of you from the DSM area?

I have been told the people meet up at sonic on saturday nights, but I haven't verified that. I would suggest not going downtown at it is a bunch of high schoolers and ricers.

I'm guessing the reason why we didn't find anyone last Friday was due to Puckett being at the NMRA event or whatever. If I'm in town, I'll be there this Sat. night again. It's the Sonic in West Des Moines on 63rd st. just North of Railroad Ave. if you want to come.

They were doing what is usually a very large show at the Fairgrounds on Tuesday nights, but the last one was this last Sunday due to them getting ready for the fair.

I'm crossing my fingers my car will be back together this weekend. If so i'll be out and about breaking in the new clutch.

:( I won't be. I had a buddy back in KS take my car to get it tinted, and halfway there my slave cylinder took a shit, and lost the clutch... SO I won't be getting it up here before I go back and put a new slave cylinder in it.....

The weather held out for most of the night. We left sonic around 11:30 and went for a cruise. Ended up getting harrassed by the police then the rain started so we decided to go home. Pretty good turnout though.

damn, what size axle is that ? was it still driveable like that?

Yes its drive-able. Its a 1.3" axle. Supposed to be "unbreakable"
