I bought a 2003 Torch red car a few months back and after lots of back and forth the with F-ING IOWA DOT I can't get a title for this car. So fortunately for all us mustang guys we have a cobra for parts locally. I'm not looking to make my boat payment off this but these cars have alot of desirable parts on them too.

Call or text me at 319-573-3158 for availability and well go from there

the car has only 46k on it with the stock supercharger pulley and stock tune, very rare for one of these

What's the deal with the title? Maybe one of our members can help you out...

its already being pulled apart, but the issue was it was wrecked when it was 3 months-3300 miles on it and was delared junk in Virginia, I have a CLEAN CLEAR Michigan title in my hands, but the assrockets at the DOT said since Virginia said it should have been crushed at the time it has no business being on the roads, and they wont even do an inspection. Some of body parts are already sold and shipped but lots of good parts for 79-04 mustang's here

yeah I'm more disappointed that I have to take a cobra off the road, it would have made a nice driver for someone, it wasn't beat on either, but its worthless for anything other than parts

That would make a nice drag car project...no title necessary

I think there are out of state companies that will run you through loopholes to getting a new title in any state...but Idk how it.works with newer cars...I've only dealt with pre 1960 cars with no title in that case

maybe batwood would know but I'm pretty sure junk means junk and you cant get a title for it. My boss tried messing with me on the gxp like that.

I'd love to see someone put the IRS in a Fox chassis. I saw a dude do it on a Fox Thunderbird for autox and got great results.

This x2! If I was still in Iowa I would buy it for my Foxbody.

I hear they fit fairly well. The gas tank needs some massaging but that's about it.

im actually dealing with the title bond process right now on my scooter, it's going through and my situation isnt like this. However with previously junked cars if I remember correctly they need to be 25 years old or 25 years junked, one or the other to get bonded after being junked

the seats aren't available at this time there going in my 04 cobra and the ones in my 04 are going into my 82gt

as far as the title it HAS to be 25 years old for inspection and bonding

if I didn't have so much cash wrapped up in it id consider an Autocross or drag car

I already have an irs in my 82 gt it was an easy project along with the entire front 03/04 cobra suspension and brakes and even cobra hydroboost. I also have 03/04 cobra wheels on it
the eventual plan for my 82gt is to make an 82svt cobra to match my 04 in every respect

the eaton swap will probabbly settle onto my built teskid block very nicely

Going through this right now with a snowmobile. They wanted 1.5 times the value of the sled for the bond, for 3 years.

That and narrower wheels in the back because of the different offset. 255's I think were the widest you could go. I thought about it for a couple days

How bout a 3rd brake light? Mine is busted...

As far as getting an "Iowa" junking certificate vehicle re-titled, it has to either be 25 years old or be within ?14 days of being junked. I think the owner at the time of it being junked has to be involved as well... Its a shitty deal in some situations, but it was junked for a reason.

On the other hand, a dealer can put a dealer plate on it and drive it until the wheels fall off.

Or....a guy with access to the DMV database can just go over the head of a power-hungry person and make one....

All the ones of seen haven't had to massage the gas tank, and people are finally getting some better wheel combos to get a 275 under them now. Couple good build-ups on corral.net.
