HOW IS IT AN LS Engine?!? That's not possible! Those are only for the 1/4 mile.

I thought the ford's had gone faster, but that might have been a different track. It gets to be hard for rwd cars to put the power down in a mile at this level. The ford gt's work a little better with the weight out back. The awd lambos have quite an advantage in the front half of the track.

My math skills may not be the best but I'm pretty sure that 257 is faster than 251. Ford WINS!

Please, if you can't see it's more than just the engine in these races it's pointless to argue. Heck I even pointed out the ford gt as being faster, but I doubt it's making more power/torque.

I'm getting too old to argue..but seriously when is GM going to nut up and build a mid engine supercar??

Hard to say what they are doing. Vette is more of a poor mans supercar, where a ford gt was a step higher in price and class. That also makes it untouchable for the average guy which sucks. I thought gm was going mid engine for the c7, but I believe thats off the table now. You probably get to see a lot of badazz cars running around down there in Mexico I mean Texas:)

c8 should be mid engine. I think the chassis development price and purists aren't the major reasons they are going mid engine yet, but I know I've read several times that the corvette engineers want to go mid engine.
