Looks good Tyler.

Why the assembled upper? If you need a barrel wrench when you go to put the quad rail on I've got a DPMS tool that can also tighten the castle nut for the buffer tube.

Seemed like the easiest way to get it set up for now...half the parts I wanted to build one are out of stock...might need to take you up on that wrench soon

I think if I was going to build an AR id go for a longer barrel but I'm a range junkie so what do I know?

From what I understand the 20" setup I'm going to use should be accurate to 1000yds....lot of ranges out there longer than that? Lol

Guess I missed that part. Reading comprehension fail...

If I ever get around to building another AR, it will have this:

http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=30934/Product/AR-15-M16-GAS-PISTON-CONVERSION-KIT

Probably won't happen anytime soon. I bought a Ruger SP101 yesterday I'm probably going to spend some money on first.

Oh you do, that would have come in handy..dangit.

You can get them for around 30 dollars at scheels if you're hard up for one...

We had one Colton. But the wrench didn't work. We figured out a way to losen it.

Tyler, my buddie drew has a front grip that if you push a button the bi pod shoots out of the bottom. It's pretty nice and I would check into that.

GPS-02 that is the one I have. The 02 is the military one with metal in it the LE one is all plastic.

I like it a lot it handles really well.

Yeah that's the one. It's pretty slick and works well as a grip and a bi pod.

Very nice work! Tasteful too, I'm tired of seeing blinged out ARs at the range. It's usually douches in Tapout shirts and can't shoot for shit. You shot it yet?

I just picked up a Swiss K31 two days ago and I'm wanting to shoot it bad, not that it's relevant just wanna brag.

Thanks! I've got about 80 rounds through it for the sake of break in...really needs the scope...I love it , though....but just for the record, don't ever shoot tracer rounds into a hayfield lol

Start a little fire? lol 88blackgt and I were at the Matsells Bridge Range when someone shooting tracer rounds lit the top of the berm on fire. There were about 15 of us trying to stomp it out before the ranger showed up. Needless to say that guy left with the ranger.

I don't get why people buy tracers, wasted money imo.

Picked out an optic yet?

Good way to figure out how consistent each shot is without having to walk down or use a spotting scope. I'd use em but good luck finding em in the calibers I own...

Tracers are also the only 5.56 rounds I've found locally...I'm getting either a vortex viper or a millet trs-1...likely mounted with a la rue one peice

Scheels, gander mountain? If those two are out you should just start ordering online in bulk...much cheaper than getting it locally.

I buy from www.SGammo.com their prices are the best I've found and their shipping is pretty damn fast.

i checked gander and scheels and ended up getting the lake city m855 tracers at scheels, they said the two boxes they had was the last of the 5.56 they would be able to get at all for a while (election shit)...but my next step is finding the ammo i want online, i'll check out SG, thanks guys!

Why are you insistent on 5.56?

Not really insistent its just the round I would prefer to be shooting

figured i should throw some pics up since i finally finished this gun a few weeks ago...added a millet trs-1 scope with a burris pepr mount...also a harris bipod and mount...its pretty much how i want it other than a few tweaks here and there..its a hell of a robin blaster at 100+yds...but im ready to kill some yotes haha...

RandomHero

9mm is a hell of a lot cheaper to shoot than .223
you go through the rounds very quick with the bump stocks
