I've owned my durango for 9 years and time for a change so I picked up a 2006 Buick Ranier AWD 4.2L inline 6 cylinder, 83k, 290hp . Clone to the trailblazer/envoy . So far I like it a lot. Noticeably lighter and more nimble than my durango. Being a ls1 fanboy, I wanted the 5.3L v8 option and a RWD but this one I grabbed at wholesale from a private owner via Dave Ramsey style. Tow capacity is 5400 lbs, should be enough to tow my street car .

I'm not real proud to say I drive a buick but they usually come more loaded and it does have a couple neat features that the trailblazer/envoys don't have like extra sound dampening (triple door seals, acoustic laminate glass, and thicker sound-absorbing pads on the hood and firewall) and self leveling rear air bags and built in air compressor.

I'd love to turbo this inline 6 someday but not anytime soon.

the wife got her cleaned up and some pictures taken

as far as engines go, you know you got one hell of a i6 under there. Good choice.

Those Rainiers are pretty nice vehicles, its kind of a bummer it doesn't have the V8 but nice find!

Nice looking vehicles, I like those a lot. Could you get a 3rd row seat in those??

If you can I hope it's better than my jeeps '3rd row'...your knees are in your face if you sit back there.

It will tow your car just fine, I've pulled mine with our 08 envoy 4.2 with no issues. Plenty of power and gets 17mpg with my car on the trailer.

Should pull your race car quite nicely.

3rd row is only available in the extended or xl versions which have a longer wheelbase and are taller, 400lbs heavier, and many of the extendeds look ugly imo
