Any reasonable guesses on whats done to it? They say stock long block but who knows what that means anymore.

This:
The blistering 10.32 run was made with a full weight ZL1, using its stock 1.9 liter blower, stock heads, catalytic converters with a density altitude of well over 1000 feet. The ZL1′s mods include a Redline Motorsports proprietary camshaft, upper and lower pulleys, headers, improved heat exchanger, cold air intake, performance torque converter and Mickey Thompson drag radials. This bad ZL1 makes well over 750 horsepower and 700 ft-lbs of torque.

Took a little less then the LPE car, could be helped by the stalled auto. Couple stockish ones have gone low 12s.

Ah I was sure there had to be a cam in it. Not bad for a fat pig. Lpe's car is a stick on race gas isn't it? I think their car wasin the 11s with minor a intake and slicks too

^ Correct. Pretty sure the Redline car was on race gas also, they won't say due to a magazine article coming out in a few months. Either way stalled auto FTW!!

You gotta know they only did an auto to help 1/4 mile times. Anyone buying an auto to road course with is just a lazy douche. Makes me go both ways. I nice 'what if' idea to the zr1 vette, but thankfullly they didnt.
Side note. When are the new gt500's coming out?

^ From what I've read production starts May 7th, with 1st in line orders being delivered shortly thereafter.

took this for low 11s
The ZL1 that wore the Lingenfelter banner at the track had minimal modifications. The only underhood upgrades was the LPE was outfitted with were a supercharger pulley to bump up the boost, reflashed ECM, 160-degree thermostat and a LPE ported and polished airintake leading to a K&N air filter. The only other modifications to the car were swapping out the street performance tires for skinnies up front and Nitto NT05R drag radials out back
Add these to get 10.7
"The same as the red car plus some additional modifications (OD damper, CNC ported heads, LPE GT9 camshaft, low restriction race filter)."
So far it looks about on part with a 10+ GT500. Where is Al Op?

That sounded like a nasty bitch with the 10.32 run. Anybody else hear how they aren't up on the stall at launch, just from an idle, badass auto they got there to handle it.
Makes me wish the GT500's had an auto option for this reason. But you can't argue with the numbers, they put some good stuff in that ZL1, the 90 year old men that buy them should be really happy. ;)

I'm sure the one main reason they put an auto in it was to help it with 1/4 times. Who wants an auto in a road course car?

Paddle shifters wouldn't make it too bad, but it would have to be like a clutchless auto for it to be any use on a road course.

They look cool but im neither here nor there with the new Camaros in general, Im a Chevy guy and would rather have an SRT8 Challenger($46,000) or a Laguna Seca Mustang($50,000) over a ZL1 Camaro($55,000). Then I would have for some go fast goodies and be faster for the same money, plus look A LOT better. The new Boss 302 looks badass.

I don't think for 9k you could make an SRT8 faster in full street trim. Those 392s are pretty sick cars though.

yea but how much more is in that ZL1, add that to the $9,000 you already saved from buying the Dodge

It seems like all the fast ZL1's have one thing in common, ported heads and a cam change. Must be big power to be had by changing those out, because the stock performance numbers are pretty underwhelming for the HP it makes. Sounds like they are switching out the s/c next, should help a bunch.

ok well im kinda impressed with the fact its a fat pig and stock motor going 9's but I agree changing cam and heads with everything else means only thing left "stock" is the Pistions and rods? not to impressive yet.

Only so much air you can move without going OHC and twice the valves.

Nothing a 2.3 whipple or larger couldn't fix! Sounds like they will be switching out the supercharger soon, low 9's soon I bet.

Heads I find surprising because of cost effectiveness, but I guess if you own a shop with proprietary heads, why not. Cam** is a no brainer though. my favorite part of the mod list was the lack of mentioning trans or rear end work, or even suspension.

It had a converter change, does that count as trans work??? Not flaming, just curious...

I guess it would be? I was just referring to the trans core internal durability that I found shocking, but from a performance standpoint I'm sure the different stall is very necessary.
