A friend of mines old car died on linn benson road outside of CR (gravel road). I went out to check on it and it wouldnt run for me either. However, I did notice they pulled it so far over the front tire was half on the ground, half floating over the ditch...impressive.

Today it was impounded for being on the side of a poorly lit road for too long. It died saturday night, and was already impounded?! Crazy I think, but thats where it starts. $180 impound fee, plus around $60 for a tow truck to take it somewhere else. Poor kid is screwed, plus $15 a day its in the impound.

Anyone else find this ridiculous?

Why not get it towed on Saturday or Sunday?

It was really late Saturday night. Sunday I looked at and couldn't get it going, but then she didn't find anyone with a trailer so I guess she was waiting for a call back from a guy with a car trailer Sunday night.

Yeah, I'd say it's about right. 24-36 hours should be enough time to get something arranged. It does suck having your car towed though.

Thanks for the props. In some cases, depending on the forum member, I tend to offer my services for much lower than I would any other customer; free if the chick is cute, single, and drops me their number. Just saying.

I believe the law is if a vehicle doesn't move within 48 hours they are allowed to have it towed. Used to have a neighbor call my old k10 in...

Easiest way to check if its been seen by the police is look for a penny on top of the wheels, chalk marks on tires, etc.

Lol, well technically it moved about 10 feet. I didnt even think about calling sandman, wish I had! This is my fiance's little sister (16). I do still have to have it towed from impound to..somewhere to fix it.
