Selling s10

I was thinking about selling the s10, and going with either a full size truck or an suv/jeep. Im just curious what you guys think about resale prices. Id say the truck is worth more than book value, but is it even ok to ask book value these days? It does have one flaw, that GD door ding I picked up a week ago.

kbb, nada. idk what I would ask. I realize you can ask anything, but a price that gets a response for interested buyers is a plus :rant:

Price it higher than what you want, you'll get lowballed and dicked around for sure, especially of you sell on Craigslist.

What'd you pay for it? if i remember right you said you got a really good deal - i'd ask couple grand more or a grand above book value.

I paid book for it then. I kinda want something I can door ding or hit a tree and not care. Just focus on the bike and when weather sucks drive a vehicle that I can fit a couple bikes into.

NADA prices it high, KBB prices it low. Shoot for high NADA and call it a day.

I've learned a lot or most banks I've dealt with use NADA while the common folk use kbb. :headache:

it's worth whatever someone will pay. I price stuff really high on CL usually. If i get a lowball offer, it might be close to what i actually want and i accept it. Once in a while though, you get lucky and they pay full price. Bought my Durango for like $1800, traded it even up for the integra, priced it at like $4500, $3k was my bottom dollar, some chick bought it for her 16 year old son for $4200. Guilt from a divorce, well written ad, sold.

I think you should have sold it a couple of weeks ago. The prices of good quality used cars on CL has dropped dramatically since then. 2 months ago you couldn't find anything year 2000 or newer with under 130,000 miles for under $7000 and now I can find plenty of them.

I hate to say it but I've probably 3 plus hours a week since the first of the year scouring CL and dealership sites looking for a good used car for my kid.

Why not just search tempest the same vehicle you have, see what they are going for and adjust your price from there depending on condition and mileage.
