HEY DALLAS LOOK A CIVIC VIDEO/About THREAD.
Anyway just throwing this up here. This is both a thread for video and a bit of backstory about the car as to why it's a tribute video haha.
I've been editing together a pretty damn decent sized video for a DVD for all my car/racing buddies around here with clips of everyones cars on the street and track for our BBQ's we have every here and there where theres food, pool, alcohol, and we watch DVD's of everyone racing and there are really no big compilations of everyone so thats my project but it probably wont be done for another month or so and maybe even later if I incoroporate this year's vids into it.
Anyway my buddy was wanting to see clips of his civic I still had so I cut this compilation in about an hour last night. Couple clips in it aren't mine, but anyway it's just kind of a tribute to his car haha.
Was super reliable on the first vitara build, around 15k miles and considering he only drove it for racing pretty much it was a lot of hard miles. Then it finally let go and after rebuilt with upgrades made 415whp but dropped a valve @ 9300rpms which ate his lowerend/valvetrain/turbo/piston. So he parted it out and sold it and bought his integra.
Few of you saw it at CF, or cordova.
It ran a best time of 11.6@119mph at 303whp although it might of had a bit more since me and him had done some re-tuning on it.
also if you can't tell, the last clip of mario music is it when it spun a bearing :P

Why we called it skittles is pretty much because it was never one color. He first got it as a stock dx coupe with a horrible white paint job and then rattlecanned it black, then when a buddy parted his red civic stole some body panels off it and started to paint it to match so it at least wouldn't be quite as bad. Toward the end he did do the roof a nice black. We still called it skittles though for being multi colored.

Now he has an integra, some more of you might see it this year since he got a great new job but he may not be able to make cordova as much but having saturday off he might be going to CFR instead.
Here's the integra, it's a GSR motor with built bottom end, stock cams, turbo is a 60trim turbonetics, identical looking to mine but has better internals.

He would still sell his integra in a heartbeat to get skittles back believe it or not. It was simply a stupidly fun car and pretty much never went a week without racing and gave a lot of people their first look into the world of boost including me!
