I really like those years of Silverado's. The headlights look the most aggressive of all the newer versions.

Hauled about 1300lbs. of sand in 5 gallon buckets for some landscaping at my parents(20 puonds from GVRW), also had 500ish pounds of mulch in it a couple times, pulled a couple friends trucks, nothing major I am glad it has 4.10 gears in it though when I hauled that sand. Plans are in original post.

I've got 3/4ton wheels.

O sorry yea I have no need for a 3/4 ton

Also thanks for the comments guys.

I hit a bird and broke my left headlight/bumper light bracket, replace that and was happy to find out it was only $22 at the dealer.

IMO keys are a bad idea. I would crank to level it out and thats it. you have a 1/2 so keep it riding like a 1/2 ton. the more your crank the worse it'll ride. That and you dont want ridiculous cv angles and most of the time stock you can crank until your UCA is on the drop stop and after that point you cant crank anymore.

The GMT800 can be cranked "safley" with aftermarket keys, GMT400 keys are a waste of money. Bilstein 5100s help make a cranked truck ride like factory. If I wheeled it hard I would crank it at all

The farthest offroad my truck goes is level b roads, I have had a truck cranked WAY to much, looked sweet but rode like crap and started eating the front end pretty fast. If the angles start getting crazy with it leveled to a 3" block(1" taller than stock) I will decrank, throw that factory blacks back in and put 1.5" body lift on it.

http://gmfullsize.com/forum/picture.php?albumid=1623&pictureid=31290
Those are the angles on my 88, WAY to much crank, looked awesome though

Oh I understand that. I'm just saying if I owned a 1/2 ton I wouldn't crank it unless I put a plow on it for some reason. That's the only reason I cranked my truck was so it could handle a 700lbs plow and clear 285s. That and it being a 3/4 ton it already rode like shit.

honestly it doesnt ride that great, it needs shocks now(back tries to walk out and one shock has a minor leak) and I have the keys just sitting in my garage so I figured I may as well do it all at one time

I've been out of the truck scene for awhile. Does your truck use the 'green' keys which if I remeber correctly are just factory ford keys? I use to be on FSC every day back when I was into modding my trucks now there strictly work trucks and I don't get in there very much.

yea I have factory ford keys for my leveling kit, green keys are the factory half ton keys, they will act like leveling keys in a 3/4 ton.

Changed plans for lift and wheel/tire combo. I'm to run the Rough Country Non-Torsion Drop 6" lift, decranked to 4",flat cv and steering angles and its only $20 more than the 4" kit. For wheels and tires I'm going to run 18x9 XD Diesels on 325/60 Cooper STTs (33x13.3) white letterns IN.

Here's a side shot of a truck running the NTD lift, torsion bars stay in the factory location so no loss in ground clearance.

Missed your comment somehow, just wait until I get the buffer and products I want, truck will look like a mirror again.

I didn't think I was going to be as happy as I am with the hieght its at now so might just say screw a lift and go for this look, well in the summer anyway.

Only thing I'm not a huge fan of are the Escalade handles(painted bucket/chrome pull) and the chrome mirror caps, just color matched of each and Nitto Trail Grapplers instead of the Dune Grapplers also the door molding but mine is already gone.

New plan for this, JD Fabrication midtravel kit in front, Deaver leafs out back, a nice resi shock(fox, king, bilstien) something along those lines, Glassworks fenders, Method Race Standards and 315/70R17s or 35x12.50R17 depending on what tire I go with, undecided about trimming front bumper so the 35s clear or just doing Baja bumpers with 2 6" fogs run with the factory fog switch. I'm getting tired of the same setup around here either leveld on 33s, like I am(still like the stance don't get me wrong), just rim size changes or just a plain lift.
