To all the f-body owners (93-02) out there I'm building my car finally the bottom end I'm messed with the top end before but never pulled the engine. So I was wondering what is easier out the top or down from the bottom and what tools do I need for both ways . And what steps do I need to follow or issues might I run into? Please just needing advice I can finally pull my engine since I bought my own house with a garage.

take it out the bottom, lift the car off of the entire kmember/suspension with the motor mounted to it (a cherry picker usually does the trick)....much faster if you dont have your firewall/radiator support cut for a top removal

What Fifdy said. I've only done it once but it wasn't hard at all going out/in the bottom. We used a cherry picker to lift the front of the body off the k member. We had the K resting on a dolley and just rolled the whole thing out from under the car.

Made pulling my LT1 relatively simple. No need to cut the radiator support or firewall/cowl.
