I think Ford wanted them to be loud and proud. All the boss colors are eye catching, induce a "WTF is that!" from most common folk.

The Camaro doesn't give you the constant feedback of the Mustang, but talks to you when it counts. Think of the Camaro as being a good friend and the Mustang a girlfriend.

I went and looked at one of those Boss 302 cars in person when I was thinking about another car, to me they look very Cheap on the outside, the plastic Grill and bumper is horrible. I understand they perform good stock but to me they are not worth anything close to 45k is what dealers were asking, your better off geting a 5.0 + mods, or pay 5-10k more for a Shelby.

Except that the brochure they used was the 2012 not the 2013. Either way the GT500 has them beat in power to weight so really all it ideally needs a decently tuned suspension and it could be a pretty mean ride. The ZL1 for that matter should be pretty sweet too, other than it looks like a damn cartoon and the interior is completely queer. Speaking of things that may void your warranty (not running the coolers on the Ford) what happens if you're racing your ZL1 around and the bags go off like that vid we've all seen on youtube?

Did GM cover that car that had the airbags go off? Not to stir the pot, but interior and looks is 100% useless opinion. I say that because I think the newest gt500s are gross looking. I like the boss's and gt's (not laguna seca's), and I also love the new camaro interior. I'm also never wrong. Usually the only place I ever see people disliking them is on svtp or mustang boys pretending they belong on ls1tech. I've read in some magazines that its cheap feeling, but I dont know what they are comparing it to. Marble? I've sat in a few and in the least biased way I can possibly be I still don't understand their perspective. Maybe they were never in a 4th gen's interior so they cant relate to such a dramatic leap in quality. /rant

The 2010 Camaro's dash is just outright ugly and poorly designed and needed updated before it reached production. They tried to hard to make it look retro and failed miserably IMO. The interior will also feel quite claustrophobic the first time you ride in it. I've ridden in my buddies SS quite a few times and that feeling is now starting to go away.

Good thing 2013 GT500's ordered with the Track Package adds an external engine oil cooler, rear differential cooler and transmission cooler with brake cooling ducts. ;) No to mention comes with a carbon fiber driveshaft.

Still those electronic shocks on the ZL1 are light years ahead of the mustang. That and the IRS are what is shooting it ahead. Not to fault the mustang too much, they listened to their customers and did not do IRS on it, plus the chasis is not setup for it either.

Oh well, we can debate all we want until it actually comes out and we can see what it does.

Agreed. Ford also said the body was not able to accept IRS either, granted the 03/04 cobras were "retrofitted" but the ZL1 was designed with the idea of IRS.

Have you sat and driven them back to back? When comparing a 2010 Camaro SS 6-speed manual to a 2011 Mustang GT 5.0 6-speed manual. I wouldn't flinch buying a 5.0 over a SS.
