2012 Hot Rod Power Tour

Has anyone done a Power tour? If yes, would you do it again?
Is anyone planning on going this year?

I've considered going in the past but the SC was either down or I didn't trust it. Now that I have the Z06 I feel confident I can do it. It just needs new tires, some sort of insulation kit on the floor/trunk area and a buff job and it is ready to go.

Stops this year are as follows:

Saturday June 2 Detroit, MI - Proving Grounds
Sunday June 3 Muskegon, MI - Downtown
Monday June 4 Champaign, IL - Assembly Hall, Univ. of IL
Tuesday June 5 Madison, IL - Gateway Motorsports Park
Wednesday June 6 Miami, OK - Buffalo Run Casino
Thursday June 7 Stillwater, OK - Kicker Corporate Complex
Friday June 8 Arlington, TX - Quicktrip Park
Saturday June 9 Arlington, TX (Long Haulers Only - Awards)

i know domesticdisturbance has done it, i think hes gone the past 2 years. he said its always a great time!

A bunch of us did a leg of it 2 years ago, and I did 3 days last year. It is 100% my favorite auto related thing I've ever taken part of or witnessed. Its just overwhelming. You cant point fast enough at all the crazy stuff you see, and the routes are usually pretty enjoyable. Its surreal. Really scared what I'm going to do this year seeing as how I sold my reliable car.

^ What he said. I was with him two years ago on HRPT. It really is one of the best car events you can do. I think we have a thread on here somewhere with some pictures.

Went to HRPT when it rolled through Ames in 2008, wish it was closer this year, I don't really feel like driving.

The driving from one town to the next is the best part. Every town, gas station, long stretches of road... mostly vehicles of interest. Its pretty overwhelming. Takes me to my happy place.
