posting up for a friend, just seeing if theres any interest in it.
1980 Ford Thunderbird, has around 30k miles on the clock. car is all original, straight and rust free. has a carbureted 302 and auto trans. car is red with a red interior, bench seat and column shift. had an leaky front main seal, we started removing all the accessories, and just never finished the job. car has A/C, PB, PS, and is actually a pretty nice starting point for a project.
if theres any interest in it, i can get pics and more info. shoot me an email or PM if youre interested.

I'm not sure, no, but I can prob swing by tonight and confirm things and snap a few pics. It has a 4bbl carb if I remember right; I'm wondering if they would put that on a little 255ci motor? Also, can any of the ford experts baround here confirm if this would be a fox chassis car? Its roughly the size of a mustang, so I'm curious about it.

Well if it IS a 255 chances are it wouldn't have a 4bbl. As for it being a Fox chassis, yessir it sure is. Measure the wheel base center to center if it is 104 (iirc) its the longer wb fox chassis like the later 80's tbird/cougars and a smidge harder to mod but not much.

my friend's asking $1,000/offer. car did turn over when we tried to start it, but didnt want to fire up. i'm confident with a little bit of convincing and ether, it'd probably start right up if you put it back together. i also noticed that it does indeed have a 2bbl carb. i'll try to do a little research tomorrow on the VIN and see if i can figure out what it is.

Yeah more than likely that is a 255, the mustang didn't even have a 302 in 80

I just had visions of someone dropping a mod motor in this and scaring some Vette's on the steet. Kinda like the one that the 1320 boys did.
