currently and previously... That would be a very large field of mostly 14+ secon cars. In all honesty, i very much plan to have a car out and abou this summer! I would really like to make it to a few IAF events and be in the top 10 fastest members. Already in the process but i am not posting shit about it until it is on the road! ;)

EDIT: just looked at the top 30 list, better make that "i want to be in the top 22"! LOL did not remember the top 10 being that fast!!!!

im hopin for top 15 next summer maybe even top 5 but ill have to make a trip a ways to run the 1/4 and my primary setup is based around 1/8 mile playing.

But more on topic I hear about more good deals just talking to guys in shops than I ever see on most forums but the bullet seems to be high and if its not there are 500 guys with lots of money to snag a deal just to flip it. While I don't keep up on the rules for the local 10.5, it seems to me that restrictions would make cars slower...

I'm sure Scott's car would love some real nasty heads and Joe could start replacing body panels. Their cars are intentionally slower than they could be given no restrictions.

If you win by giving 4 lenghs, he will want a heads up and your car is techniclly not faster from A-B so it proves nothing?? So if you win on a heads up far race for less money (less loss on both ends) then you can say your fastest and you won. Getting lenghs and winning is not "winning" its just saving yourself from the embarrassment of a potential loss, to feel good about yourself.

I've been around plenty of stock block 5.0's that have never cracked. Big HP years ago went 9.70's with his and beat the shit out of it, never cracked. I helped build one that went 9.9 with a STOCK cam in it, and had 50,000 miles on the rotating assembly when we built it. Was bone stock right down to the intake silencer when we started bolting on parts. Keep the rpm's at a reasonable level, and the air/fuel ratio in check you can go very fast with one... It's the idiots that don't know what they're doing that crack them every pass... Like the one you pictured, he actually weakened the block by putting the lifter valley bracing in it. After that just put a Dart, or FRPP block in it and make 1000-1500 whp with it.
