That is bad ass!! I love the looks of it, I wonder how they keep the crank from cracking though. Dont the mod motors have a issue with that with when turning huge blowers like that?

Usually use a big block snout to help alleviate that problem.

I'm not sure, but do mod motors run a hydraulic lash adjusters and a roller follower type valvetrain? When spinning them hard (like Joes setup) do they switch to a mechanical adjustment valvetrain or is the hydraulic one still stable to 9k with the extra spring pressure, high boost and rpm?

John Mihovetz still uses stock lash adjusters, granted I believe everything is damn near mechanical.

Correct. Joe's is still hydraulic, as are most. 9K is starting to push it though..

I've been running a 6-71 on my 4.6 for 5 years. Never had a problem!
