That car is going to be amazing. I wonder how far Ford and Chevy will push the factory HP limits. Things like this are really starting to make me hate my Pushrod 5.0 more and more every day.

I bet there will be Ford backed performance parts that'll make 700-800 rwhp under factory warranty.

Under. Factory. Warranty.

I want one.

First car to the trailer park wins.

I agree about the comparison bull and should know better than to take the topic off track. Did anyone notice Ford upped the displacment :) Smart move.

I noticed it, imagine the power it would make at 6.2L. :)

Damn right:) Isn't the 6.2 a 2 valve deal though? I'm sure it could be changed. Biggest thing they need to change is bore spacing to allow a more displacement with less stroke and unshroud the valves. The small bores do seem easier to keep sealed up under boost with a limited amount of head bolts/studs and I can't argue that a DOHC head seems to be stiffer due to the extra material above the deck. Damn imports have something going for them, just not the displacement:)

Should be a bit left in this as well if I have the right numbers. The 2012 GT500 w/ TVS kit makes 660 @ 14 PSI while the 2013 makes 650 @ 15 PSI with 7% more displacement. Could be a lot to be had in a tune.

Shit the aluminum block 2012 GT500 was a vast improvement out of the previous iron block versions both handling wise and power wise. I can only imagine how much better it will be with a displacement bump, part of me wonders why they don't toss Boss 302 suspension in it. I saw some testing vids of it on nurburgring nordshleif and it appeared to corner pretty flat and was moving pretty well. I'm eager to see how it performs against the ZL1 when the magazines get a hold of em, I'm sure that will be next month or january. Still its nice to see Ford moving in a positive direction and taking an interest in what people really want from their performance cars.

Who's getting worked up? Guess you've had your blinders on and forgot 5.0 Mustangs started destroying GM products regularly in the mid 80's, 03-04 Cobra's running 9.0's with STOCK longblocks, 2011 GT 5.0's kicking ass, and GT500's making 800whp with only a blower change... BTW huge Corvette fan here, hence the videos I posted, grew up in a GM fan family. Owned many GM products, still have one, but you gotta give credit where credit is due...

Yeah I kind of figured low 9's on stock heads and cam would be pushing it, even for the mighty LS1.

ive heard of 9's out of stock short block 5.0s. Pretty impressive consindering the low cost of them and the cars they came in.

I have a friend that bought this car. Had to go to NC to get it in the color he wanted. 70K for a Mustang????? It's worth it!, this thing is freaking awesome RAW POWER. It has the looks, the feel, and the pure attitude. I personally was never really a Mustang fan, being a Camaro owner for many years, but this car rocks, and can change a Chevy or Mopar guys thoughts easily. The only comparison is the top dollar corvette, but at a price difference of 50K.... What ever ride to like to roll in, you got to give a thumbs up to this Ford Mustang.

You pretty much made my argument. Anyone that's going to pay 70K for a Mustang obviously money isn't a thing. I will say the bang for the buck is very good, but it's not going to be turning Chevy fans into Mustang owners.

I do like that blue/black color. If one damaged a bore in one if these can it be fixed easy? I know it's a spray on liner, but haven't heard of anybody re-coating them, etc. I know MMR does a sleeved deal on the 5.0 and probably these, but that's big bucks.

Like this one? People are making 780rwhp with the stock blower on E85, over 800 with the stock blower ported. Have only read about one being hurt so far, most likely from detonation. Kenne Bell made 985 RWHP with the following;

Jim Bell's new 2013 GT500
Kenne Bell 4.2 Supercharger
Kenne Bell Competition Boost A Pump
ID 2000 Injectors
E-85 Fuel

985 RWHP on the Stock Block and Stock Internals.

The complete write up can be found here.

http://kennebell.net/KBWebsite/Commo...3_TechTips.pdf

Here's a brief portion of the PDF...............

28 psi, 26°, 12:1, E85 combo hit 985RWHP with 100% stock off the street ‘13 Shelby. No NOS crutch, headers, cat back, cams,
heads, fuel system mods, etc. Only a Kenne Bell 4.2LC Kit, 20V BOOST-A-PUMP® and 200lb Injector Dynamics injectors with
100% stock pumps, fuel lines, rails, etc. Our goal was to determine just how much HP was possible with ONLY a Kenne Bell
Mammoth™ Kit and E85 on a 100% stock Shelby with stock fuel system.

I don't know if I believe a stock pump being pushed to 20 volts is a good idea.

Correct. A few 2013-2014 GT500 owners are making the conversion with stock fuel lines, even stock fuel filter.
